These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the hire of event props and services provided by Events By El (“we”, “us”, or “our”) to the customer (“you” or “the client”).
By booking with us, you agree to the following terms:
1. Booking & Payment
A booking is only confirmed once the required booking form and non-refundable deposit of $100 has been received.
The final balance is due no later than 7 days prior to your event date unless agreed otherwise.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, payID, PayPal or cash.
Late payment may result in cancellation of your booking.
2. Bond/Security Deposit
A refundable bond is required with all bookings. The amount will be specified in your quote.
The bond will be refunded within [5–10 business days] after the event, provided all items are returned on time, undamaged and clean.
Any damage, loss or cleaning fees may be deducted from the bond. If costs exceed the bond, you are liable for the additional amount.
3. Hire Period
Standard hire is for [24 hours / 1–3 days], unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late returns may incur an additional daily hire fee or full replacement cost.
4. Delivery & Setup
Delivery and collection are charged based on distance, access and order size. These fees will be outlined in your quote.
You are responsible for ensuring access to the venue at agreed times. Additional charges may apply for delays or difficulties in access (e.g., stairs, lifts, restricted parking).
If DIY pickup is arranged, you are responsible for safe transport and handling of all items.
5. Cancellations & Changes
Cancellations must be made in writing.
More than 5 days before event: Full refund minus deposit.
Within 3 days: No refund unless otherwise agreed.
Booking changes are subject to availability and must be requested at least 7 days before your event.
6. Damage, Loss & Liability
You are responsible for all hired items from the time of delivery/pickup until return/collection.
Any damage, loss or theft will be charged at repair or full replacement cost.
We accept no responsibility for injury, damage or loss caused to any person or property during the hire period.
Props are decorative only unless stated otherwise and must be used safely and appropriately.
7. Use of Props
Items must not be altered, painted or modified in any way.
Props should not be used outdoors unless specifically approved.
Items must be returned clean and in the same condition they were provided.
8. Force Majeure
We will not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, accidents, illness, transport delays).
9. Photography & Promotion
We reserve the right to photograph setups and use images of our props at your event for marketing purposes unless otherwise requested in writing prior to the event.
10. Agreement
By paying a deposit and/or confirming a booking, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
